David Leavitt


David is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Conflict Resolution from Georgetown University. His areas of study include Conflict Risk Assessment and Management, particularly in regard to social and political movements and non-violent resistance. In addition, he has received his B.A. in Political Science from Christopher Newport University. Past projects he has worked on include research regarding women’s inheritance rights and Sharia law, contributions to research on Tunisian electoral data compilation, assistance in research for academic papers regarding non-violent resistance in response to collective trauma, and assessing gender programming and refugee protection among Syrian immigrants amidst COVID-19.
